
clubWEST was voted Best New Venue @ the Edinburgh Festival 1999, winning two Spirit of the Fringe Awards and a Total Theatre Nomination. Since its formation in 1998 clubWEST has produced and promoted over 30 diverse productions. These include: PHIL COOL ON HEAT, DANA GILLESPIE'S BLUES HEAVEN, JOHN OTWAY'S NEXT BIG HIT, SYLVESTER McCOY in the Fringe First Winning Play HELLO DALI & Samuel Beckett's EH JOE, Andrew Dallmeyer's critically acclaimed WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE, Steve Gooch's McNAUGHTON, Award-winning MASCALL DANCE COMPANY, KISOOK KOREAN DANCE, Asian Comedy group THE FUNJABIS, EARL OKIN, & RODDY MAUDE-ROXBY.
Kevin Williams, the man behind clubWEST Productions has been a performer/writer/director/producer for over thirty years. As a performer he has appeared regularly on television (most notably as Ronnie Blythe, the grass, in two series of The Paradise Club with Leslie Grantham), starring in several West End shows and winning critical acclaim for his performances in Trelawny of the Wells, Guys and Dolls, Beggars Opera, at the Royal National Theatre. In the 70's, he was a member of Chichester Festival New Ventures (headed by Tony Robinson). In the 80's, he was resident producer/director of Alive on Sunday @ Xenon Piccadilly, London, giving opportunity to the likes of Rory Bremner, Jeremy Hardy, Arthur Smith, Tony Slattery, Julian Clary, and a host of others. In the 90's, he was co-director/producer of the Boulevard Theatre, London, culminating in the transfer of Bob Carlton's 'From a Jack to a King' to the Ambassador's Theatre, London. In recent years, he has written, directed and produced a host of productions for the Edinburgh Festival and beyond, winning him several Spirit of the Fringe Awards, a Best New Play Award for his play 'The Pigsty', and a Total Theatre Nomination for his multimedia dance/drama 'GO4'. 2003 saw the transfer of three Edinburgh Festival plays to the Arundel Festival, where he also runs the Arundel Ghost Experience @ his Arundel venue known as DRAMAZONE
